There’s something so special, sacred and humbling about being invited into someone else’s birth space to capture their first moments with their brand new baby. Ruthie’s birth day was so beautiful. I was in awe of her mama’s strength, determination and clam while she labored. I’m so thankful she chose me to document each moment as this birth held so many “firsts” for me; first birth center birth and first water birth. This sweet family has two boys at home and chose to be surprised about the gender of their third baby. I cried as Ruthie emerged earthside and again when her sweet mama looked down to discover she finally had her girl. I’ll forever feel connected to this baby and her beautiful mama!
Meet Ruthie…she was born on June 23rd at 12:18 PM, weighing 8lbs 11oz at the West Houston Birth Center.
