Oh how I loved getting to meet this sweet family! Most of the time, I get a chance to meet the mom and dad-to-be before the birth, but Patricia booked just a week or so before her due date! I knew Patricia and I would be quick friends after chatting with her for 45 minutes on the phone about her photography business, birth plan, and her creative ideas for her birth story images. This rockstar mom decided she would have as natural of a birth as her labor would allow!
After waiting for what seemed like forever to get “the call,” a very excited dad-to-be called to let me know they were heading to the hospital! Patricia’s labor progressed quickly and before long, it was time to push. After pushing for 2 hours with not much progress because of the baby’s position and size, the decision was made to do a c-section. Dominic Xavier Franzén arrived on April 4th at 6:36 PM. He weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 21 3/4 inches long!
